Fuel Cost Adjustment Factor (Surcharge) Calculations: August 2022

Formula:      FCAF = C x (A – B)
                                             D

where,     FCAF = The Fuel Cost Adjustment Factor (Fuel Surcharge)
                         A = Current Month’s Average Fuel Price (EC$/IG)
                         B = Average Fuel Price at Base Tariff (EC$/IG)
                         C = Current Month’s Fuel Usage
                         D = Current Month’s Electricity Production (kWh)

Fuel Cost Adjustment Factor for AUGUST 2022:

A = Average Fuel Price for JULY $14.86 ($/IG)
B = Fuel Base Price $1.60 ($/IG)
C = Fuel Used for JULY 288,676 (IG)
D = Electricity Sales for JULY 4,775,786 (kWh)

FCAF (Surcharge) =     288,676 x $13.26 ($14.86 – $1.60)
                                                    4,775,786

COMMERCIAL/DOMESTIC = $0.80/kWh

THE MOVING AVERAGE = $0.71/kWh

REVISED FCAF = COMMERCIAL and DOMESTIC $0.65 kWh
