NEVLEC participated in CARILEC’s Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Symposium held at the Radisson Grenada Beach Resort; Grenada from November 3 to 7, 2025. Under the theme “The Changing Landscape Of Occupational Health & Safety,” industry leaders gathered to explore the evolving challenges of workplace health and safety.

Mr. Clayon Clarke; Crew Chief and Mr. Michael Webbe; Senior HR Officer represented NEVLEC at the symposium. The symposium focused on two urgent subject matters: Climate Change & Workforce Resilience, and Energy-Based Safety. Experts highlighted how rising temperatures, poor air quality, and disease-risk factors threaten worker wellbeing and productivity. The sessions also allowed participants to explore a proactive approach to energy-based safety.

Overall, the symposium was a very informative one. One key takeaway from workshop is that “Safety should never be see as a cost but rather as a valuable investment in people and organizational resilience.” With dynamic panels, case studies, and networking opportunities, the symposium reinforced NEVLEC’s commitment to innovation and worker protection in a rapidly changing world.
