NEVLEC has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to regional solidarity and resilience by deploying a second (2nd) team of skilled linesmen to Jamaica. This mission comes in response to the devastating damage inflicted on Jamaica’s electrical grid by Hurricane Melissa.
On Sunday, January 18th, a team of four dedicated professionals departed Nevis to lend their expertise and support in the rebuilding efforts. The team is led by Mr. Clayon Clarke, with strong support from Mr. Kishawn Hobson, Mr. Conde’Jai Romney, and Mr. Paul Bradshaw. Together, they will join hands with local crews to restore power, rebuild infrastructure, and bring hope to communities affected by the storm.
NEVLEC extends heartfelt gratitude to the Caribbean Electric Utility Services Corporation (CARILEC) for its steadfast commitment to fostering unity and cooperation among member states in times of crisis. This deployment underscores the strength of regional collaboration and the shared determination to overcome adversity.
As our team embarks on this important mission, we wish them safety, strength, and success. Their work is not only about restoring electricity, it is about restoring smiles, rebuilding lives, and reigniting the spirit of resilience across Jamaica.
“Out of Many, One People.”
May this mission reflect the essence of Jamaica’s national motto and reinforce our belief that through unity and service, we rise stronger, together.
